Dinners, BBQ's, Breakfasts
Our social fundraisers are designed to provide opportunity throughout the year for gathering together and sharing over meals. Different groups and people provide preparation of food, beverages and parish hall for fundraising events.
These events are scheduled periodically throughout the year.
Once a year we provide a healing service, celebrating the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This Sacrament is also provided for parishioners who are anticipating surgery.
Parish volunteers are contacted via email and asked to offer prayers and spiritual presence for persons who request prayerful support.
A bi-monthly gathering of knitters, crocheters and "wanna-be's" who come together to learn, pray and share their craft for others in the parish and larger community during their times of sorrow and joy. As they create shawls, their handiwork becomes an expression of their love as well as the loving care of God who works through them. As each is knitted in prayer, that prayer is given in love to surround those who are ill, alone, dying or experiencing difficulty.
Nativity Silent Prayer Vigil for peace is every Wednesday 12:15pm - 12:45pm.
You are invited to this silent prayer before the Cross; no spoken words, no music, no incense - only our silent prayer of sitting in God's presence and listening.
One or two times each year, a Soaking Prayer evening is offered for women. Through a simple format of song, story and ritual, women are led to a prayer of the heart where they can minister to one another in the presence of God's unconditional love. Women come for a variety of reasons to give thanks and to seek healing.
