Baptism - Infant Baptism Preparation
Preparation for infant baptism and for those who are going to be sponsors and God-parents begins with an appointment with Fr. Michael Cicinato. Plans should be made at least two months before the celebration of Baptism.
Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation for youth is done in conjunction with our joint youth program with Old Mission Parish. There is a two year RCIA type preparation process involving faith sharing, social justice activities and retreats. The process can begin as early as the Freshman High School year. Confirmation for adults can take place as a part of the RCIA program for uncatechized adults or in conjunction with a Diocesan run program for adults. The choice of programs takes place after consultation with

Michael Cicinato and Sr. Theresa Harpin and a facility needs meeting with Mary Holliday. Contact: Fr. Michael Cicinato 544-257 ext. 10 Reconciliation

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a powerful and delightful process that prepares the un-baptized for entry into the Catholic faith. It is for baptized but un-catechized adults (often people who have not completed their Sacraments of Initiation—Eucharist and Confirmation). It is also a process that allows someone who wants to know about our Catholic faith and understand just what it is that we believe. We do this process in conjunction with the Newman Community at Cal Poly. The program begins in late September.
